Help I messed up brake pad change...
I believe we should all learn something new every day. I learned today how not to change pads on my E 350. Here is what I did. I removed the outer side of my caliper which of course leaked some fluid. I quickly put it back on but, too late. I then came on here to learn the correct way to do this job. I finished up the job, which was a breeze. I know have the RED message to visit the shop and car wont accelerate or brake worth a crap. Is there a way to fix this or do I have to wait till monday and go to the shop with my head hung low? Any help would be appreciated.

Did you bleed that caliper after the mistake?
You may well have air in it. Search the forum and you may discover how to bleed the air from the system. Sorry, I don't know of a specific posting to tell you how.

Thanks for the reply guys. From your responses, I figured it out. I had my son pump and hold the brake pedal while I bled it at the wheel. Worked like a charm. Thanks again. Oh I had the car running at the same time.
