My 2006 W211 navigation system quit picking up statalites so it has my position off in the ocean somewhere. Does anyone know what might cause this, is it a common problem, loose wire, or major fix? Thanks.

 

I have exactly the same problem.

Our forum friend Konigstiger says that its either a connection (left side trunk panel and up towards under the parcel shelf), the antenna (quite likely) or the Nav Processor.

I haven't had chance to look at mine yet as I am in the process of moving states and houses. Another couple of weeks and I will get onto it.

Suggest you check connections in the trunk (cheapest solution) replace the antenna (next cheapest solution) then the Nav Processor.

Konigstiger's money is on the antenna.....common problem apparently.
