HELP.....IS THIS A FAKE "E55 AMG"
need help!!!
I am looking at this 2004 "amg e55"
can someone tell me if this is a true amg or fake.
no amg kompressor behind the steering wheel or on the door.
is this possibly a cloned e500? Can anyone tell by the pics.
thanks
1, no Amg brakes
2, rear bumper not made to accompany those dual tips
3, wrong front bumper
4, roof antenna is on the glass and not directly on the roof
5, looks like a base model to me.

ask him to send you a pic of the title it'll have make, model, etc on it if you really really need to re-assure yourself of the obvious... and its a very poor attempt of trying to pawn it off as a amg
Just noticed the Missouri plates. What part is he located in? I'm in the KC area. I can tell you right off the bat it's not an AMG from the details pretty much everyone has covered. There is a verrrry minor chance that it still could be an AMG though...could be that it was in an accident and replaced with cheaper E500 parts...which would be dumb in my opinion.
im in st louis, so we are supposed to meet in the middle. but its still 2.5 hours away. i wanted to be sure before i drove all the way out there and met this guy.
Well i got him to send me a pic of the engine bay. i think this should put the debate to a rest.
thanks again.

i just dont know enough about them to say 100% if its fake or not. but i have seen people try to pass of 500's as e55s.
. That has to be illegal for him to try to sell it as an AMG...private sale or not.im in st louis, so we are supposed to meet in the middle. but its still 2.5 hours away. i wanted to be sure before i drove all the way out there and met this guy.
