Fuel gauge problem

I took my car in a couple of weeks ago for a few problems that included an intermittent fuel gauge. The dealer attributed the problem to defective fuel level sensors (there are 2) in the fuel tank and had to order the parts. I brought the car back on Tuesday of this week for the sensor r&r, which they did, but the problem persists. Today, they replaced something callled the rear SAM, which is apparently one of the computer modules that communicates the signal from the sensors to the display unit. No luck - problem still there. The service manager has called MB engineers to identify the problem, but won't here back until Monday.

Has anyone experienced this problem?
