Nav with Aux Jack?

Can anyone with the new Nav confirm or deny that the Nav comes with an auxiliary jack in the glove compartment? Like many others, I am thinking of my MP3 player.

KevinR is is from Luxembourg (in Europe ) and has the European version of the Navigation. There are a lot of recent threads about the US Navigation (including pictures). Use the search feature and check them out.

i am sure if you go to a local audio/video store they can probably do it for cheap. i wouldnt go to like the big names though, they will probably say it can't be done, i know there was a website that enables these things, you might be able to find it doing a search

Having a DVD based nav unit won't let you play DVD movies in the unit, it just uses a DVD based map. If you want to watch DVD movies, you can either get an RGB connector or a MB TV tuner and hook up a dvd player to that.

The email you were provided is a source for a European Nav that is much less than you would pay from a dealer. Also putting in the European Nav assumes you already have the US one so that it is merely a switch. I'm not so sure you can put a Nav, European or otherwise, into a current model E Class that did not come with Nav in the first place.

Hit the "sys" button then select the "Aux" option on the screen. It should then play whatever you have plugged into the AUX jack. That's how I play my iPod! :0)

The new Nav on the '03 E doesn't have a "sys" button... To get to Aux, you press "Audio" once or twice (depending upon where you are), then select "Aux"... Has anyone else tried this? Thanks.
