BATTERY DIAGNOSTICS

Hi, i saw a post somewhere on how to check the voltage for my battery by a self diagnostic in the car by preesing the reset button, I canct seem to find that post anywhere anymore can someone help me out on how to do that.

buy a multimeter for $10 at your local parts store. Black wire to neg, red wire to pos. should be 12v standing, ~14.2 while engine is running.

thanks anyway i found out how to do it you Turn key to position 2 (do not crank). Make sure the reading you have on the cluster is vehicle speed, if not, cycle to that.
Push the odometer reset button (next to instrument cluster)3 times and you will hear a beep. This opens up a new set of diagnostic readings. You can start the car at this point.
