E320 Subframe shifted

Hey guys my car is at steeler for a third day now because my rear sub-frame shifted so alignment was off and they have to take whole suspension off and re adjust rear sub frame.

i was told it will cost about $450

My question is if anyone had any issues with this and what should i be looking when i go pick up my car?

Only nice thing so far is that i had a loaner car so i wasn't without car for 3 days 2012 C250 coupe. Sporty looking but not comfortable like our E class

Any input would be great

Definitely get the alignment sheet and make sure it's all in spec. Take the SM on a test drive and get on a straight road, take your hands off the wheel and make sure it tracks straight, both cruising, under accel and under braking. 450 to r/r the whole rear suspension and adjust the subframe is pretty cheap for one of these cars.

the hell did you do to shift the entire rear subframe??

I wish i knew what did i do to it that would cause that kind of damage. Maybe couple hard accelerations but that's it. Car suppose to be done sometimes today and i will definitely get alignment paper work and post it here, believe it or not it was only off 5 thousand of inch but i wanted back to perfect.

not to demean your car, but a few hard accelerations in an E320 of all things would not shift the entire rear subframe. Don't forget, not only does the subframe attach to the chassis, it's also connected through all those suspension points. Either it's been like that due to a previous accident, or you slammed a pothole on one of the rear wheels hard enough to do it (though I imagine an impact like that would take a tire with it)

Update

got my car back today after 3 day in shop, They took it to authorized mercedes body shop and measured frame and all specs, frame was shifted and they took it off and re-aligned and brought it back to mercedes dealer. Dealer then did alignment and its inside the specs now. My service advisor scheduled another appointment for alignment check month from now to make sure its still good. Total for everything was $410. Now that's a good price
