Exclamation What to look for with coilovers?

Hi all,

My W211's shocks are blown and the ride is horrible now, especially with my 19" wheels.

Anyway instead of replacing just the shocks i think ill go all out and purchase some coilovers, as they are almost the same price and i wish to lower the car anyway. Id like to get a kit with adjustable dampening and also adjustable height front and rear.

Does anybody have any suggestions in which brand/model to purchase, or what to look out for?

Is installation difficult?

I was looking at this model http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/H-R-STREE...ht_2618wt_1359

And also this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Emotion-S...ht_7319wt_1359

Would like to hear from anybody with coils installed? what are they like compared to the stock suspension? My ride is hard and jerky, as shocks are blown

i have yet to instal them, im waiting on some other items to assemble the entire car. sorry not much help... yet

if you guys need some, i have a friend that owns a shop out here in AZ, and i also know a few people that work for ksport as they are located in AZ. my friend that owns a shop got me better pricing than ksport thats why i went through the shop. if anyone would like i can get you in touch with either party, PSI is the shop in AZ and chris is the contact for ksport.

ksport and d2 are built in the same factory, so they are essentially the same suspension fyi for people trying to determine the difference there.

i did a lot of research because i wanted something that went low, i have a 320 so aesthetics was my main concern. bilstein and kw both offer limited height control according to specs, i believe it was something like 1.5 inch on both and they were upwards of 2k+ depending on which version you went with. my friend had them on his M and he said they were amazing, much better than stock.

ksport and d2 offer the most adjustment ride height... i believe it is about 3.4 inches

H&R just released a coilover for the w211 as well but i am not sure about those

i have had ksports on a different vehicle and they were decent but since owning ksports when they first came out, i know they have redesigned their struts with larger pistons and are supposed to be much better now. ksport is pretty popular in the drift community, but as for performance on a w211 pay more and get better like one of the euro brands, daily driver ksports will do just fine.
