So really I could take it to the car wash and let them rub on it with the towel and not have to worry about it if its clear coated?

So what clear coat did you put on? I was going to put some on mine too, but then I read something about some brand with end up cracking up the plasti dip.

I Plasti Dipped my E500's grille. I did 4 coats black, and 3 coats of Plasti Dip Clear. It's been about 4 months now and all has held up well. I did have to touch up here and there a few times but overall it works pretty good and also helps protect everything.

There is a site dipyourcar.com that has a lot of different colors and equipment you can not buy in stores. I'm thinking of getting the metal flake spray and trying it. Also if you use the Clear on chrome it will give it more of a stainless steel metal look which is cool.

Nice, and that's where i got my white plasti dip for my wheels too. I did 4 coats white and 1 coat clear, but the only thing is it looked nice for the first few days then it started collecting dirt and all the brake dust(tried to wash it but wasn't able to go back to the clean white), that's why I was wondering if the OP use other clear coat to generate that smoother surface like the original paint.

I'm really intrigued by this product. It's works well on any black rubber and black door pillars also that may be fading away. And when you give the car a wash you will notice the water just runs off the plasti dip leaving it bone dry really fast. It gives your car a better look, cheap price for doing it with hardly any error, and i also look at it as it's protecting the original part and if your selling it at a later date you can easily peel it off and it will look good as new underneath.

I spray over a light coat of clear finish to make it more durable, smooth surface so dirt won't stick to the rubber. I will install it tomorrow and will post up picture for ya.

I have another issue today, So I finally got the wheels in today. I Has to special order for Mercedes since it has some wheel hub issue. Any way, I was so anxious to put them on, so I went to discount tires but they close at 6pm. I has no choice to stop by Pep Boys for installation and balance. This crazy kid put it on and some how he bust one of my tires.... as you can see, I'm so freaking ****. Now I have to wait another week for the new tires.

Another Project I'm doing since my Damn tires is screw up, Oh well...Caliper Paint any ones?

What's up bro, I have the same color Benz, please send me a link from where you bought those rims, and the gold paint looks amazing with that color combo!!

Thumbs up Plasti Dip Oem Rims

Hey anyone ever see these Oem AMG rims Plasti dipped black? Any thoughts if they'd look nice or not with black grille and red calipers. Anyone think that these 19s look small? Can anyone with 20's please let me know what the ride quality is compared to 19 inches. I love the look of 20s but hate to compromise the ride quality. Love those 20s w the Toyo tires. Considering Vossen 20s for mine. Why are my pics upside down??? Posted from IPhone 5
