Brakes and Rotors

Hi All,

Just joined because i bought a MB. Nice to meet everyone. Had a quick question if someone could please help.
I need to do a quick break job on the car and i saw NPN brake pads for sale.
Are they good? i have a e300 4matic, no fancy driving just cruising and all that good stuff

please give me some suggestions and they dont have too many reviews.

thanks all

NPN? Got a link? You can't go wron with OEM. Ive had great luck with Hawk ceramic pads - no dust.

Get some akebono pads from parts.com or autohaus. Hardly any dust at all

I just had some Centric Posi-quiet ceramic pads installed along with a new set of Adam's Rotors on my 04 E500. They work great together.

On the rear a month or so ago, I installed ATE premium rotors and akebono pads. Couldn't be happier with stopping power and lack of dust. Will do the same on the front when it's time. I'm at 80K now.

The OEM M-B rotors are so cheap online ($78/each front, $54/each rear) I wouldn't bother with aftermarket rotors.

I hated the flithy OEM brake pads, so I went with Akebono Ultra Premiums. As people say, there is an increase in pedal effort with the ceramics but having clean wheels is a worthwhile tradeoff.

I have R1 concept drilled and slotted rotors front and back and akebono pads. I couldn't be happier with the setup. Great stopping power and and wheels always clean.
