does anyone know how to repair this and how do I get the part the shop wants $ 785 to repair it is a 2003 E 500

this is a pretty big job. Whole seat needs to come out and taken apart to be able to get to sensor pad. Part alone is about $250. I had my done by dealer for about same price. there is a DIY for 210 model which is similar. Be prepared for for all day job and case of beer when u get frustrated
