2003 e500 stop car too low! front right looks like all the way to ground. airmatic :(
so i was driving and the car said stop car too low! I exited and saw front right is all the way to the floor. looks like the front right airmatic is gone.
now what are my options?
I know there is arnott for $458. i can get one airmatic.
or should i go for coilovers? How does that effect my airmatic. Esentially it will remove the airmatic.
What are the cheapest coilovers and how much would it cost for replace labor for coilovers?
I am just thinking in case my future airmatic goes out it might be better just to replace and get coilovers? Is there a special way to install?
Any installers in Los ANgeles for coilovers that are decently priced? THANKS!!!!

I've got two alternatives for you...
1. Buy one of my used front airmatic strut for $200 plus shipping; $350 for both sides plus shipping.
2. Spend at a minimum, $2.2K to swap over to coilovers. Cost will depend on the quality of coilovers that you buy and the savy of your tech guy to do the install and adjustment (8-12 hours). I just had mine done last week.

is it actually gone? Does it not go up after turning everything off and turning it back on? Mine would only go low after sitting around...never while driving.

New Rear W211 Coming
We are currently testing new rear air bags for the E-Class. They may be available in as little as 30 days. More good news - These will also greatly reduce installation time.
