dont think part numbers changed but i would double check. search for a non face lift arm and then a face lifted arm and see if there is a discrepancy.

the orange parts were not necessarily needed initially. If you plan to want to adjust the coilovers in the rear so that it is more closer to factory ride, then you'll need the shim kit from MBZ, which is not listed in the list.

Not really these days... even for the 4-Matics with code 489 suspension, the rear replacement Arnott air springs can be had for @ $275 ea. and the front air springs can be sent off for rebuild for under $400 each. Again that's for the most expensive 4-Matic code 489 vehicles and you don't have to drop the rear sub-frame anymore.

The cost for after market replacement air ride parts is even less for the two wheel drive non-code 489 E Class. Probably could do all four wheels with after market air springs for under $1K and still maintain the auto ride height (wagon) and that sweet Mercedes Benz air ride!

Also remember steel springs will sag over time.

Thanks for sharing this fantastic and detailed post Spinn, and congrats on the new peace of mind. I just picked up all the parts for my own e500 coilover conversion. I realize you did this job years ago, but do you have any suggestions about where I can find the torque specs for the suspension nuts?
