Please go away. You are posting the same type of questions on the C-class board, the C32 board, the E55 board, etc.
Why do you care ? These boards are for serious users not kids that have time on their hands. Run along now and go play with your video games.

Serious forum users do not ask the same repetitious questions about every vehicle that MB manufactures. If you are of the same ilk then what I said applies to you to. I never said anything about his age and I never said anything about you so chill out.

you were calling him a kid, telling him to go play video games....how old are you? and if he has a specific question about the E-class, why would he search in other forums to get his answers, makes no sense at all. i know you didnt say anything about me, but it makes no senses to disrespect people like that...this is a MB forum...

Well you are obviously a ... kid. You did not even interpret my response properly. Go read it a few more times until you understand. Then go do a user search on "Kain" and you will see that this guy is posting similiar questions about all MB vehicles on other forums in mbworld. This guy is not a serious enthusiast but a troll and should be treated as such.

viper, is it wrong to ask? who knows that he's trying to decide which mb he/she trying to buy? The only dumb question is the only one that they don't ask. no offense to you though... just want to know your thought.

Agree/disagree

While I agree with Bmms8 about age not being a factor in the shopping of a car (I used to be enthusiastic and researched choices for my parents' purchases).

However, I see Viper's point too. Viper's frustration can be understood, especially if he took pains to answer one of this guy's earlier questions.

In a way, IMHO, this guy from Dubai is fishing. He's posting his questions hoping for easy answers instead of checking out various MB official and spy sites, as well as journalistic articles, to find his answers.

If you feel so inclined, help the guy out. If you don't, and he's motivated enough, he can look elsewhere.

Personally, this is not a simple request. People can't provide a simple answer, there are multiple details necessary, and it takes a respondent time to put them in a post. If the guy isn't willing to hit the search button for something so time consuming, I'm generally not willing to waste my time to save him time.

I'll also take into consideration the guy's time on MBWorld and his post count to help me decide if I want to put out the effort to reply. If the guy is a regular, or at least an active member, and has been around longer than just since breakfast, I'm more apt to ink a response because I believe he generally wants to know and is seriously interested.

OTOH, remember that girl that came on a coupla months ago. She had a post count of about 1. She wanted to know if we knew of any rap videos that showcased MBs. Since I figured she was not an MB enthusiast, owner, or driver but that she was more likely researching a work or school project and wanted us to do her work for her, I opted not to reply.

BTW-Here's the link to her post. I don't think too many other people were very interested in helping her out either.

I agree that it is a little irritating for someone to post the same question that has just been discussed on another thread. If the question is not intended to insult or otherwise annoy people, I ignore the post or refer them to another thread that answers the question.

OTOH......I can't remember seeing you post on the E211 forum before. I may have missed it. It is a little over the line for the first posts you make here to be flames.

By the way...Bmms8 is one of the original posters on the W211 forum and deserves a lot more respect from a "new" poster. His age has nothing to do with it. He has contributed a lot to the discussion of the new E. His post actually seems a great deal more mature than yours

I don't have a problem with him posting something that has been discussed before. But he is going to almost every forum and asking about "changes to the 2004 C32", "changes to the 2004 E-class", "sound clips for the C32", "sound clips for the E55",etc. He does not have any of these vehicles and is just wasting bandwidth. Do a search on him and see what I mean.

I dunno...

the C32, E500, and the E55 are among the fastest stock production cars MB makes available in the mid-price range. Seems entirely reasonable to me that he's trying to decide which he prefers, either for himself or to encourage (read: Nag) his parents about.

Viper, I can understand your frustration, especially if you've taken the time to thoughtfully and completely reply to him in the past, but his efforts do not have the taint of troll on them, IMHO.

Best bet is to cut your losses and don't respond to his stuff, until (if) he either proves himself worthy, or proves himself troll-ish.

FWIW,

EDJ

Thanks. I will ignore him from now on. He's gone on to swearing about me in "off topic" so I hope he will calm down also.

Nice to know that it's been solved.

Kain: Here's a helper for four etiquette. If no one responds to your post that means they either don't know or one should have used the Search function. It's a great friend. Learn to love it.
