2006 E320 CDI 235 hp 420 ft tq
2006 CDI
125721 miles
Last trip was 4179 miles 69:44 hrs avg speed was 60 mph mid July
Showed 41.6 mpg.
But every time I have checked it the trip meter was off by as much 3 mpg so it was around 38.6.
I have found that tires make the biggest difference in mileage.
My last car was a VW TDI diesel so it was easy to see , the last set of tires I put on it was the Michelin Energy Saver AS it improved my mileage my 3 mpg.
The problem was it only comes in a few sizes.

06 e350 4matic/2000 e320 4matic wagon
2000 e320 4matic wagon...12 mpg city...24mpg highway
2006e350 4matic sedan...15 mpg city....26 mpg highway
I can hardly wait for the winter blend gas to come into effect in october...my wagon city mileage will probably dip in the single digits.But. i love my wagon maybe more than my 06 sedan.

This was by your onboard computer no doubt and not the actual miles per gallon covered with the actual gallons used, was it?

The computer readings are not correct, and I have found them to be off by as much three or more mpg!
I have tracked my CDI very carefully over 32K miles and recorded all fill-ups there on Fuelly. View my Fuelly below.
