Jus sayin Hi...

Hey everyone I'm new to this board and I'm hopin to meet alot of you guys soon. I currently drive a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T and I have an E-class comin in...Which model is a secret Anyways I had a quick question. I am going all show on the E. I was plannin on gettin 20 inch HRE's. The question is to chrome or not? Mind you that this will not be my only set of rims. Most likely I will have another set of 19's to roll on occasionally. But what would you go with? And yes I will be showin this car off at showoff's and so forth... Thanks fer the opinions

Why is the model secret? Unless you have a one of a kind on the way...every model E is represented here. Curious why you mention the model at all if it is a "secret".

Welcome, BenzoBoi!

I'm afraid I'm boring--like S55inPA! I prefer all original equipment for myself.

But from what you say, I think you will be happiest with the chrome wheels. Just get what you want and enjoy!

For the record when people see me with the car that I have now they like that is his mom's or dad's car. Little do they know that the car is really mine. For the model it's an E55

welcome benzoboi... to chrome or not is different for every people. Personally, i don't like chrome. Buy what you like so you don't regret it after you buy it. post pic when you put the wheel and mod for your car.. looking forward to see it.

Congratulations on your car and welcome to the forum. Owning that car puts you in a very exclusive club. Now this is just my opinion, so do what makes you happy If it were me, I would NEVER start doing mods to that car. I checked your profile and I see that you are 20 years old. I guess being 39 i'm over the hill, as far as you're concerned. I don't want to use the "G" word and start a flame hear, but that's what I would think if I saw that car like that. I'm sure our age difference has a lot to do with my thoughts on this, so I'll apologize up front If I've insulted anyone. That car is just so perfect and classy the way it is. It doesn't need to call attention to itself. Anyone who knows cars, their jaw will drop when they see it anyway. Please don't tell me you want to do a body kit to I'll need to be revived. Congrats again, and do what makes you happy!

And I totally agree with you. The car by itself is gorgeous. Yet a nice set of rims is always a good thing to any car for that matter. (personal opinion) No I will definitely not be puttin any sort of body work except a roof spoiler and the rear spoiler. But as of now I plan on keepin the stock AMG kits. It looks good already

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car...
If I was to go all show with that car, I'd customize the rear bumper to have the mesh cutouts like the Lorinser rear bumper and keep the AMG dual twin-oval exhaust...
I'll also add Lorinser Roof and Trunk deck spoiler and maybe Expression Side Skirts, and leave the front AMG bumper alone...
I'd have a set of 20" Brabus Monoblock VI rims for show and 19" AMG Style IV rims for occasional driving around...
Another thing you need to do if you're going to be on showoffs is to throw in a nice system... a very nice system will run you anywhere from $20,000 ~ $100,000 or even more... depends on how much you're willing to spend
I'd say all that isn't really worth the money... E55 AMG is a great car just on its on, but if you got the money to spend, hey why not go for it
