Thanks guys !!
yes its an E50 (sport) now, Im not going to front like its an e55, I think its unfair to the people
who actually grabbed their nuts and bought the real deal e55.
I happened to get a GREATTTT deal on an immaculate E500 and sold in My 01 CLK55.
I converted to an e55 opposed to an e63 because im going to get an e63. So i wanted to savor the joy and be patient. Im very very pleased
with my E50. Its all OEM bumpers. I scored them from a body shop.
My exhaust is AMG tips, stock exhaust system just cut out the mufflers. Everything else is still there just NO Mufflers.
It sounds f**ing AMAZING. perfect perfect perfect sound. In all the money I have ever invested in exhaust systems this was the least
ever spent and the most satisfaction ever. I did lose some back pressure though or at least it feels like I did. I may take out my KnNs
and go back to some sh*tty FRAM filters or something.
S65 19's Staggered - These completed my car
E63 tail lights
I also grabbed an 04 Command 50 Unit and NAVi.
recoded the head unit to play DVD MP3 (audio only)
*hoping someone will find how to watch a movie in this thing
AMG Pedals and ABS rear lip.
I lowered the car through the airmatic system and computer.
PIAA Super Yellow Fog lights
PIAA L.E.D parking lights and license plates.
Im going to take some better pic i was just really excited with the outcome.
Oh yeah Vinyl Black roof. WISH i had pano. Ill save it for the White E63 Pano ill grab next spring.
PS- uploaded a few more pix i took today

I got a few PMs asking about the lowering.
After alot of homework on lowering with LINKS i decided not to go that route.
I never wanted my car super low because I hate scraped up bumpers.
Also bad alignment and washers falling out on a drive etc. Also when using
links it causes issues because standard our cars lower themselves a tad when going over 80MPH
and I usually, happily and with great pleasure do![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
I have a friend @ MBZ who is a tech. What he did was measured an E55 from floor to exhaust tip on the rear.
And floor to bumper center on the front.
He then got into the computer system and began lowering the car until the height was matched to the E55 stance.
Locked in the values and - done.
This tricks the computer into thinking that the NEW values were the stock intended values.
After 1 week or so. I went back and had the car taken down all around by a 1/4 inch.
If you look @ the pix of my car in the DAY pix where the car is at a parking lot of a gas station (not the pix with the car at the pump).
That was the car with the E55 stock values.
The later pic of the drive side in the driveway of my house with the white van in the backround. That was when I came home from
lowering it the extra 1/4 below E55 stock height.
All was done through the comp. Rides like it was never lowered.
I drive in Airmatic Sport 1.
* downside (minor) If you go through a rough area of driving over alot of bumps and or construction for a decent period of time.
The car will raise itself all around. Thsi is just the Airmatic doing its job. To go back to your lowered stance you must PARK the car and
DO NOT LOCK THE DOORS. Just walk away for a few minutes. Come back turn on the car and tap the RAISE button (left of airmatic on shifting console)
and go drive a few blocks. During the drive after a few blocks press the raise button again to lower the car back down and go home and park it.
Lock the doors go inside. In about 10 minutes itll lower itself to your intended height. Doesn't alllways work but does 95% of the time.
You need to cycle the Airmatic and thats how. Sometimes when I return to the car and its still high - when I unlock it with the remote, you hear the air let out.
So now when I cycle I wont just run to the car and unlock it jump in and go. Ill unlock it and wait a few minutes before even getting in, and that works as well.
Hope that helps - and feeel free to ask away.

I got another PM asking if the E63 LED (or later w211) model tail lights were plug and play.
YES they are. When I 1st installed them I got a warning light saying all my bulbs were out in the rear. I called my tech he said -
Drive around the block. Come back home turn the car off, arm it, get back in and turn the car back on.
I did and the warning went away and has never come back on again.

My MB is an E500, Since i modified its appearance i took a 0 off the 500 to make it an E50. If I de-badged the car it looks like im hiding what it is (possible E350 or E55 faux), so i pulled a 0 off and now its an E50. After all my car is a 5.0.

2005 E55 AMG
Looks wise I think it looks great, nothing wrong with wanting it to look like an E55 but the E50 thing and the AMG badge are too much imo. You should have just left it E500 or nothing at all. Anyone that races you will know it's not an E55. You are also missing the brakes.
Other than that...looks sweet to me.

To each his own but I would have just left it as E500 and maybe added the ///AMG badge because of the conversion. But that's just me, you did a good and thorough job!

Many mixed reviews. a FEW people mentioned they want to start an e50 club , i did think it was funny myself.
I added the AMG badge due to the conversion. The e50 was a gamble and looks like a loss. Im going to remove
it entirely although ill HATE to be thought of as an e350 to 500 poser and the e500 and AMG badge look stupid.
Really am not trying to look like an e55 imposter hence why i didn't just change the badge to e55 which is like $10 bucks.
I thought e50 would give it my own personal touch. The feeling of anyone thinking im "posing" is irritating me so much
Im about to throw the car for sale and grab an e55 or 63.
Im going to make a "feeler" for sale ad for my immaculate car. NOT because of everyones response but more so because
its been irking me since day one.
I have owned an e36 M3, e39 M5, e46 M3, w208 CLK55 and then this e500 Sport.
I f**ked up my own streak

Seems like a lot of work to make it look like a stock car, but whatever. I can appreciate the work you put in, but I just don't understand your thought process. If the reason you did not do a E63 conversion is because you were going to get one, then why waste so much time and money on a car you planned to get rid of.

Thank You -
I got a very very very ridiculously GREAT deal on this car e500 Sport
it was one I just could not pass up on. I knew everything about its history
and its 1 previous owner. I would have been stupid to let it go. Plus my CLK55
was @ 197K. My brother in law works for Cooks Collision. I got OEM stock
e55 Front and Rear bumpers for a very good price. I got the NAV and Command 50
for FREE from a totaled car in swap for my Audio 50. Believe me I didn't
spend much for it to look this good. I enjoy working on cars upgrading and
swapping things around. This was fun and even after what I spent I'm still about
8K less into the car then an e55.

Your car looks sick! I wouldn't sell it if I were in your position just rework the badging but since I can't really speak for you, I will just look forward to what you do in the future - great work buddy.

Nothing wrong with an E50.
1 thing tho-
AN E55 is supercharged..are you thinking about doing that? I did it to my E500. Along with Brakes Headers, ECU, Exhaust, Tires and Wheels, lowering module. (all Kleemann)
I changed my E500 to E50 K and it looks great!
