distronic and rush hour traffic
I did a search and did not seem to find an answer to this.
How does distronic perform in rush hour traffic where the speed is between 2 and 10 mph??
Does it go all the way to zero or will it cut out at 20mph like the cruise control.
Thanks in advance

distronic is basically a sub-function of cruise control. it can be activated at speeds between 25 and 110mph. just like one would or should never use cruise control in rush hour traffic the same would be true for distronic. Also, distronic will not react to stationary objects (traffic jam, stopped cars, brick walls) nor will it respond to oncoming traffic!! Use on the open road and with due caution. mp

Disctronic does not function below about 20mph, it does react to stationery objects, infact all objects in its proximity. It is great on the open highway, but useless in traffic.

stephens - sorry if I was inaccurate when I said "distronic will not react to stationary objects", as I was quoting the manual, which, until I get my new E55 (with distronic) is my main source of info on the subject. mp

A fault I have found to my annotance is distronic will react to oversize stationary vehicles such as buses.
