Parents just bought an E320
They were supposed to wait until the 04's came out in a couple of months so they could get the Navi. They listen to everything the salesmen say. I'm sure they overpaid too. I'm pissed.
They're going over the features now so they didn't have time to tell me what they bought. Arghhhhhh!!!

Not as bad as I thought. Mainly just missing the nav. Mom thought you could easily retrofit the power sunshades later and was gonna have me try and install it myself. Oh well, no big loss.
Here's what they got as best as I can tell.
E320 White with Stone leather
E2 Package
E3 Sport Package
CD Changer
Out the door was $53,888. I'm not sure what the exact cost of the car was but I think it's about $1000 under invoice or so. Pretty good deal actually. I think everything turned out fairly well. My parents have a bad habit of buying cars on a whim and trust everything salespeople say. This time it looks like it turned out pretty good.

House of Imports. Turns out they fudged the numbers here and there, but overall I think they still got a decent deal. The agreed upon price was $48900 or something like that. After the paperwork was signed, my parents noticed they changed the sale price to $49335 (about $1000 under invoice) but the licensing fee was lower than they originally quoted. Ended up the same out the door price as agreed. They also bought LoJack with lifetime service for $700 and 3 yr extended warranty for $2700.

My friend bought a C32 there and I think he said he paid $2000 or $2300 for his extended warranty too. They probably got ripped there. Lojack is lifetime. Dealer wanted $700 for 2 years. I think it's normally $600 so got slightly ripped there. But, checking posts in the past, it sounds like Sport package models are going for invoice while the non-Sports are going for $1000 under. Averaging it all together, I think my parents came out average. I'm just surprised they didn't agree on $1000 under MSRP with the way my parents buy cars.

On Lojack-- is it really even needed on tele-aid equipped Mercedes? I thought that the car could be tracked using the tele-aid system? Do you need to be a subscriber in order for them to track the car in case it's stolen? That would be unfortunate as many of us probably aren't going to pay for tele-aid after the first year ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Or perhaps it may be easy for thieves to disable tele-aid and thus the reason for Lojack, since it can be hidden in various places?
