OBD2 codes 674 and 671

OBD2 codes 674 and 671
My 06 W211 CDI has check engine light with codes 674 and 671. These codes are not in my code book. Just before CEL, the glow plug indicator light remained on after starting. Any ideas?

No, it stayed on for a while, then went out after CEL came on. I reset CEL yesterday. This afternoon, the glow plug indicator stayed on for about 1 minute after starting the engine. Then it went out. The CEL has remained off for about 1 1/2 hrs.

P0674, Glow plug, cylinder 4 - circuit malfunction

You may need to replace the glow plug control module...
the codes point towards the glow plug control module needing replacement (perhaps). I think a new module is less than $150, plus labor. It should not be a difficult job as it's fairly good accessibility. The glow plugs themselves are circa $15 each, if needed. I don't know the part numbers.
