'08 E350...what do you suggest for installing a basic front license plate? No bracket is currently attached. Dealership or is this something I can do without the dealership? Any help is appreciated...

Parts.com has a front plate bracket for $66.00 - but I recommend just leaving off the front plate. I'm in California and haven't had a front plate on my daily driver since 1990 without any issues.

+1 i hate having a front plate. took mine off and was gonna get some body work done for some chips and gonna get the holes filled too

I run without one here in Texas, but I have been stopped twice in the last month. It all depends on how strict the cops in your area are. One of my stops was a local cop, the other a state patrol.

If you don't want to damage your bumper there is an alternative. It's not great but it does save drilling holes in your beautiful Benz bumper.

Thanks Mike, otto, and gaazmon for the feedback. There isnt a NC state law for me to have one, I received a decorative plate as a gift and wanted to install it. I may go to the parts.com route.

i just feel it's such a shame to drill holes in a bumper on such beautiful cars. Mine has 4 holes (2 for the mounting bracket and 2 more because the screws they used for mounting the plate on the bracket were too long and they drilled them all the way into the bumper)
