welcome to mbworld. thats why i'll prob keep my build off of here and just leave it to other boards.

your LS is pretty sick. my style of VIP, just simple and clean. no overdone body work, lights everywhere, crystal everything. i like it homie i'd do some rear fender work and get bigger wheels in the back to match the fronts though. and some window visors

the body work was actually done on the rear, was pulled about an inch on each side its hard to tell from that angle, wheels are a good size though

shame the scene has to be like this, i saw it back when i first got started but i figured it was just me being sensitive but through out my time i have noticed a lot of it. just don't see why people think that the mercedes emblem entitles them to so much more. i can respect any build done well, doesnt matter if it's a honda or a porsche or a bmw.. we all strive for doing the same thing even if our aesthetic tastes aren't the same. i never build cars for the approval of others anyway, but it is nice when you can come together and have mutual respect for people's time and effort in a common place but a lot tells me im just wasting my time, so maybe i will just finish this build in the privacy of my own community.

Purchase some tires that actually fit the rim. If you can't afford a wide tire, then don't purchase the rims.

Who said anything about not being able to afford tires?

I am truly curious, what is the point of buying tires that are to small for the wheels and then stretching them where they still don't fit to the rim of the wheel?

Again, I'm not trying to be mean. I just don't understand it and hope you can explain it to someone like me that has never been part of that particular car culture.

Now WAY more important to me is the navigation install. What do you mean by "euro" nav? Is it simply the navigation made for the European market?

by stretching tires you can fit more aggressive wheels

example...

if the tire rounded the lip you could not get a fitment like this, granted a lot of people get pretty extreme trying to fit ridiculous wheels on their car which is something that started with japanese culture that is know as oni, and my newest fan up there posted a picture of that fad with the celica. stretching my rears i was able to fit my wheels without any body work, where as fromM3toE55 actually had to have his quarter panels pull out a little to fit them (hope you don't mind me using your pic)

i can actually probly fit like a micro spacer in if i wanted a really flush fit and i saved my self the $600 in body work

and the euro nav is just really the oe version of the nave that was offered outside of the US, just make sure you dont get one from south america or the asias as the video format is different than ours here in the states

Any advantage for a Euro NAV vs US-Spec? I see you can now play DVDs, but are there any other major differences?

I just bought a set of weds, they come in hopefully within the next week or two. The rear just got some updates and fresh paint.

I've been busy working on my 108 so not too many updates here.

You should finish up this build thread. Fu@k the douche that feels he needs to impose his own preferences on someone else. Where'd you end up getting your euro nav and do you have a part number? What was involved with swapping over to it?
