Nav Repacement:renegotiated Lease Price

My NAV Replacement E500 is at the port. On the new one, I deleted the fold down rear seats (didn't want them in the first place, but was part of all launch models) and added Drive Dynamic seats. My car is leased. Is anyone else in the same position; ie, a more expensive car on a lease that still has many months to go? Did you renegotiate the lease rate to handle the raised list price of the car? Did MB eat the change in price and keep the lease amount the same? Did you have to pay some money for the additional equipment so that the existing monthly lease amount stayed the same? And, to make it even more complicated, my original lease included the cost of Voice Recognition that I have never gotten; however, the new car will come in with that option installed now. Any experience or opinions on these issues?

Anything you took away is not credited back to you and anything you added has to be paid for.

The monthly payment will stay the same.

Beltfed, you said "...and anything you added has to be paid for."

How is that amount calculated? List price? List price less % residual value of the E500 at end of lease? I can think of alot of scenarios, but it sounds like you have some experience in this area.

I would imagine that the option is to be paid for in full (MSRP), since its not part of the contract.

If it were discounted based on the original residual when you signed the lease I would be surprised.

I was told that anything I left off would not result in a credit or repayment and that anything I added would have to be paid for. I never got as far as whether paying would be at MSRP or invoice, as I was not interested in paying for 100% of something when I would use it for about 26 months. You can try negotiating for anything you want though, see what they do.

As far as voice activation is concerned, I am told it will be on the new car. We will see!!!

Good luck,

Jeff

Thumbs up

I added the Wood/Leather wheel as well as an E55 black shift knob and both were sold to me at cost by the dealer .

Derek.
