4Matic Front Lower Control Arm Bushing??
As you seem to know, the motor mount contains a fluid. I suspect it's liquid silicon and I would not expect silicon to much have an odor. My theory is that if the fluid escapes under pressure from the weight of the engine (i.e. it squirts) it can end up somewhere in the vicinity yet perhaps not on the mount itself. Maybe that's what's happening to yours. Just a thought.
Try this motor mount test, with a friend:
The mount would have to be seriously trashed for your engine to rock this badly!

The fact that they are calling it a bearing instead of a bushing makes me think it may have fluid in it, guess I'll be finding out soon. Also getting and ESP light now and then that I've read could be tied back to alignment or the turn angle sensor (or whatever), this bushing going could certainly cause a minor alignment issue.
