2005 E320 CDI (Glow Plug Relay or Pre Glow Controller Location)?
I was ready to change the Golw Plug relay on my 2005 E320 CDI US and ordered the correct one so I though from online. The module I received was A 648 900 00 00 Q 01 (51 299 029 12V). This is one with the 6 pin plug and the brass stud connection. After searching over and over for this module, The only item I can find is a module mounted under the intake manifold above the starter (648 153 02 79) this one has a spade connector rather than the brass stud.
I searched all over and am finding conflicting information. Is there two different relays/controllers on the car
. Did I get the wrong one from the parts house. They claim it is correct and the item with the spade connection is the pre glow relay.
Help is needed please.

This A648 900 00 00 part is not for a W211 according to EPC (used on a 209 and 210 etc.). EPC does not list other part numbers but only the one you currently have, better to find a new part with that same part number.

I had mine replaced and the only thing I had was under the intake manifold. I bought the part from the dealer around $250. Part number A 648 153 02 79 on the box it said timing case cr2.39. See if that helps. Mine is 2005 e320cdi.
