Headlight washers not coming on

I have a 2004 W211 E500 4matic. I have the washer button beside the headlight knob. With the car on and lights on the washer button does nothing. Where is the fuse for the system located? Anything else to check? Is this a common problem?

This is a common issue to some car owners.

You can refer to your manual button if you have.

Some manual says, the headlight washers can only be activated after various windshield wipes with lights on.

Check first your manual and if it says something like this, try it and hope this time it will work.

Also... if you haven't used them in a while, all the fluid in all the lines evaporates and you must press and repress the button over & over to prime the lines again. Then they will work on demand.

There's a lot of empty hose leading up to the headlight washer nozzles.

On my 01 CLK, one time I pressed the button too many times and the hose came loose from the connection to the washer itself. You might want to check to make sure the hoses are all secured.

Alright thanks. I'll take a look at the hoses. No fluid on the driveway so I dunno.

Still nothing. Where would the fuse be?

Have you checked your headlight fluid and blinker fluid?

I'm thinking maybe a power line fell off the flux capacitor.

Good guess but it's usually the inertial dampeners that haven't been properly serviced that will cause this issue. =P

You end up fixing it or did you have to take it in?
