Unable to reset the analog clock in my E500 2006
Hi,
I need help to reset the Analog clock in my E500 4matic year 2006. It was working fine till few days ago and stopped working after service "C" done.
I attempted to reset with steering wheel control as well as Command center, but no help.
When I attempt with Steering Wheel control
Display says "Sync Off" time says 10:21AM , with
+ and - I change it to current time "say" 2:15PM
to confirm the time change as soon as I press "Reset knob" time change to original 10:21AM
if I attemt to change time from "Command Center"
with "sync on" the clock will change to correct time
"Say 2:15PM" but it will just stopped at that time
and will not "Stay On"
Tried several times but no Help.
Will Somebody Help me out here?
Thanks

Appears that you are setting the clock correctly, however it seems to have just died on you and refusing to run.

Check your manual and make sure you are not skiping a step for doing the reser. Also, sync it with the nav system and change the time using the nav command system. If is a cloudy day or in a building then the command system will not sync until it links with GPS sat. When I reset mine it took about 20 minutes before it would sync correctly.

He synced it with COMMAND and it reset to the correct time if you read his post. It just doesn't run. I don't know anything about changing out the clock.Perhaps there is a hard reset you can do by disconnecting the battery(s). It is strange that the clock will actually reset to the correct time and then not run.

Hi,
It started working correct time now.
I took out Navigation DVD from the trunk. Sync mode off, play around the time several times. and was able to adjust the clock to correct time. after 24 hrs or so reinserted the Navigation dvd. Now clock stays to correct time.
Thanks

Same issue on my 2007 S550 but just found solution on another thread! Push button to first on position (no ignition) and within 1 minutes reset the command time. For me this then caused the analog clock to move. Poster had said something about beating the GPS connection so can also do in a garage. I didn’t mess with date so it may be off as others said it reset to 2003. Others spoke of some new software update helping. Hope it works for you.
