Vinyl Wrapping Matte White

Hey guys, im very interested in wrapping my 2009 E350 in Matte White. My original color is Black with the sparkle (idk the actual name sorry lol) With my pano. roof it'll look great. I have original AMG quad exhausts, original E63 Rims, amg body kit. My vinyl guy in Brooklyn says his vinyl dealers are all off for christmas so we have to wait till after to order the Matte White Vinyl. Anyway! i was wondering what you guys think about this. any pros and cons? thanks

Vinyl wrapping especially in matte colors looks really great in my opinion, but have you considered PlastiDip? It's much easier, cheaper, and more versatile overall and you can pickup the gallons whenever. Use it with a traditional paint sprayer or get the kit.

I havent done either but I think PlastiDip is more durable and protective as it is a layer of rubberized plastic paint versus a think vinyl film. Ive known a few around here that use it for winterizing their high end cars as it can act like a protectant. Other than being cheaper, if part of it gets damaged you just peel it off in one big piece per panel and you can just respray. You can "dip" rims too and all, painting it you dont really have to mask off a lot either as you just spray the entire car and then peel off the parts you dont want sprayed once it bonds. Check it out there are a lot of vids online like those from dipyourcar... obviously i dont know what works best for you but thays my recommendation. Sorry for the crappy typing on mobile

PlastiDip will cure and stay on for about three years, but Vinyl will probably give you a more professional look for matte coloring your car. As long as you go with a high quality film by 3M or something similar then you'll be happy I'm sure, I think that matte white will look awesome!

@smokin buddha: ive tried Plastidip on my wheels. Not as easy at it looks when you watch it on their videos. Its a PITA to remove if you do it wrong. I would have it done professionally if i was to do the whole car.

@mrmeth90: i have vinyl on my roof and imho, its relatively easier to apply than plastidip, havent peeled it off so im not sure how if it would have any effect on the paint but i heard good reviewa about it so fingers crossed.
