Slick, very nice. Were you the one asking about the Plastidip versus Vinyl? Because either way it turned out great.

Well I definitely see what look you were going for and I'm glad you went with Vinyl as it looks great, but it will happen. At least it didn't do that much damage to your paint I hope.

Also, what bulbs are you using for your parking lights in that pic? They are bluish and I really like that hope to change those out on mine when/if I do HID conversion.

I think it looks great. Does it look good up close? What was your cost on doing this?

Yeah Vinyl is NOT cheap by any means unless you can do it yourself which is... yeah best left to the professionals. Are the parking lights also HID or what bulb are you using to get the 6000K style color?

The parking lights on the side of the bumper are the original bulbs I just changed the orange light case to a clear one, the front lights are all from the dealer I'm not sure if that answers your question

No I did the same things to my sidemarker lights I replaced the stupid looking orange markers with white ones and an amber bulb. Looks much better, but I was talking about the front ones - no worries though. Looks great.

How do the edges look?....like when you open the hood? Just curious. At that price ($2000) I can't help but ask what the benefit is of doing this vinyl stuff, versus an a real paint job?

It's reversible, it protects the actual paint underneath, and you don't have the hassle/expense of having to sand and stip old paint off to start with a new color. It is just a film with adhesive you place over the car and it is also a cheap way to do matte colors. $2000 is expensive, but I have a feeling my local shop would charge twice that to strip the car down and repaint from primer up.

Does anybody have any photos of a Matte Black, or Matte White?

I'm considering doing my car over in either of those colours, just not sure as yet.

I believe he has HIDs (6000k is what you'd want) and the parking lights are a bulb from the dealer he said.

You can get the bluish parking bulbs off of Ebay.

Link? Is it these?

I assume there is no downside to installing these, as they aren't the low beams or the high beams so LEDs should be fine here regardless of focal length.

Yes those will work just fine with no error. Mine are more of a darker deep blue and a regular 2825 bulb and not LED though i will switch to LED as they produce more light.

I'd like to see how it looks with the doors open. Door jambs and such.

For $2000 I think it would be pretty clean.

Checkout the MBworld Vendor, AZN Optics. I bought a set of 5k LED parking lights for $20 or so. He has a thread in the W211 or section regarding them. As for HiDs, I went with DDM Tunings kit for $100 also in 5k --- there are many options out there to consider (I think there is even a sticky on it)

Anyway, back to the OPs thread

Yeah we were getting a bit off topic but thank you for that. I was looking into the DDM tuning kit as well.
