Modified CL grill (pics)
I recently purchased (Performance Products) a CL style sport grill for my 2003 E55, the center housing used to hold the star in place, was a low quality gray piece of plastic, on oem CL grills the housing is glossy black and matches the inserts, I had a shop remove the center housing, paint it gloss black and put a wire mesh behind the entire grill to match the wire mesh in the bottom spoiler.
Modified performance products grill (note glossy housing).

Somewhere on this site, and also with Performance Products, they distinguish between the two. I believe at Performance Products, the 4 slat grill is part of the "Illusion" body kit, and can be ordered separately.
The above picture looks to be another variation of the CL grill.
That said, the Silver car looks sweet!
