I said BMW says the 545i will do 0-62 mph in 5.8 seconds. That means it will do 0-60 mph in 5.6-5.7 seconds.

Kain....You obviously are here to trash the MB in comparison to the BMW. You argue every point as if you are going to convert members here to your guesses about a car that is not even out yet.
In case you are not familiar with the term "TROLL", it describes someone who does exactly what you are doing here and on many other MB forums. Please go over to the BMW board.
The only way to deal with the Troll is to ignore him and not reply to his stupidity. Hopefully, everyone here will ignore him in the future.

another thing. thats great that its even, atleast we dont lie about what we believe, you asked a question, and most people are giving you an honest answer, i cant even believe you dont know that the 545i will handle a little better, and be a bit more aggressive....

The old 540 was rock solid at speed on the highway and a great car.
The old eclass was too stoggy for me but the new eclass is a fantastic car and the E500 is very close to 540 and has more veritility with the airmatic and the style is incredible
It remains to be seen on the new 5 series. The new 7 is (not was) a big flop but the design may transate better to the smaller size of the 5 series.
Just my opinion .....
