Damn these brakes are good....

Doing 80mph,very light traffic, late night, relatively safe I thought. Some guy decides to come into the left lane in an ML320 from the center,no signal.Hes doing MAYBE 60-65.I was about 5 feet from his rear quarter when he decides to do this maneuver.Slam on the breaks, and cut into the center avoiding him by inches. This car stops when you want it to,I was impressed. The electronic assist is definetly a huge improvement,I felt like it actually anticipated my move,as advertised. The car slowed down very quickly. My e430 never stopped like this, and the only thing I can compare it to was my 2001 X5 4.4.That truck could not only fly but it stopped on a dime when needed.MB did a great job on these brakes

You must have been reading my mind

I just logged on to say the same exact thing. Was on the Jersey turnpike today heading back towards the city near the GWB, cruising along at 80 when all of a sudden everyone in front of me jammed on their brakes. I swear, the car was stopping before my foot hit the brake. I didn't push it to the floor because just as fast as they hit their brakes, they got off and all was OK. My tires screached for just a second, but man did that thing start to stop fast. also, not much of a nosedive.
