Very well may be the temperature control valve. See the following.

Air con temperature control not functioining

Many thanks to those who replied to my problem mentioned above. Before I attempt to change the valve (have to DIY), just need to know the workings of this valve. Does this valve respond to the temperature setting knobs? Is there any other sensors involved in the control circuit? Appreciate input to these questions.

The valve is not directly controlled by the temperature setting knobs. There are more than 50 sensors, actuators, valves, motors and control units that play some role in maintaining temperature inside the vehicle.

The advice to replace this valve is based on symptoms and failure statistics within this forum.

It is very difficult to pinpoint a failure definitively without the proprietary equipment.
