I was playing with the dash reset button today, and found i could change a few things I did not know I had. Now I have daytime running lights, I prefer that, as well as leaving the cabin lights on for a specific amount of time after engine off. But their were a lot of areas that would not let me turn on. do I need the indy shop to do this for me.

here is what i want on..

-i was told I can have my car alarm make sound, right now it does not make a sound, i am only able to lock/unlock and pop trunk open, but no sound when disableing or ableing the alarm.

-also i can seem to activate the summer/winter window roll up/down feature. is their something wrong here?

and what is this rear mirror backup safety feature , when i am in the programing area on the dash?

I don't have the answers to your specific questions but it appears you don't have a copy of your vehicle's owner's manual. It contains lots of detailed information to questions like your questions. You might check eBay to see if you can find one for sale there.......I bought an owner's manual like new on eBay a year ago for my 2001 Volvo V70.

you're are right, I don't have the manual. but i did what you said, and checked out ebay. i see a few , but want to make sure.

it saids for other e series as well including e500, is this correct?

The download version is helpful but if you'd also like to buy a hard copy owners manual from eBay, make sure it's specific for the Year of your 2004 W211 E Class. For example, on the outside rear cover of the owners manual for my 2003 W211 E500 (applies to the E320 too), it indicates the following data:
Order No. 6515 1076 13;
Part No. 211 584 65 81;
USA Edition A 2003.

The mirror is the passenger mirror tilt function when in reverse so you can see the curb you are about to hit when parking.

okay got it, and somehow it worked last night, but stopped after a while. ummmmmmmm

Make sure the mirror switch on the driver's side door is pushed in on the right (set to control the passenger mirror). If it is not pushed to the right the passenger mirror will not tilt.
