malfunctioning ABS/BAS/ESP/CC MB E 211

Can anyone help me? My display has been displaying error messages regarding the ABS, BAS and ESP for about a year now, but everytime this has happened i have been able to fix it by turning the ignition off for about 20 seconds, and then restarted it.

Now the problem is constant and now the cruise control won't work either. I have a MB W 211, 2002/2003 220 CDI. Have anyone else encountered the same problem?

The ESP going out will cut out the cruise control. It would be best to have codes read by a mechanic who has STAR capabilities. If you are interested in throwing a small amount of money at the issue, you might consider replacing the brake stop switch-that is a DIY job and only costs a few bucks. I never cease to be amazed at the number of issues that little part can cause when it goes out.

Before I changed/purchased anything, I would make sure that my charging system was putting out the appropriate voltage.

Besides the break light switch, low voltage is also another cause of your issues.

The sad thing is that a simple DAS Xentry quick scan would detect all the issues and if no faullts prescribe tests to solve the problem!!
