07 W211 oil leak cam plugs centrifuge cover

78500 miles ...i Noticed a slight oil burn smell...thenn told by local dallas dealer that I have oil leak from cam plugs and centrifuge cover. I smell it. No oil leak spots. No oil loss. Any danger in not fixing promptly? The real question is ....What about an oil stop leak product?. Good idea or not.

I actually just had this issue and I took it to the dealer to get it repaired. Don't be cheap and try oil stop leak - you drive a Benz treat it right. Get it fixed as it's a very inexpensive repair only about $300 at the dealer with parts and labor, which is still extraordinarily high for what it is but not a big repair at all. I'm sure you could do it yourself for less, but I didn't have any experience with it so I decided to have them do it... no issues since. I recommend taking it to the dealer or a Mercedes independent.

Might be a good time to have your oil changed once the leak is fixed.
