2014 AMG Grille
Anyone else think that the 2014 E63 with the AMG grille looks much better than the prior version?
Got me thinking - what if we could get that grille on a W211?
I did a photoshop (rough); interested to see what you think? If you like, perhaps we can find a manufacturer to take this project on?

I like the look of the 2014 E-Class. It integrates into the line-up much better with the new Mercedes design language common across the C, E, CLA, and SL/SLK cars as of right now. Much more fluid with a more aggressive and raw look.
I don't like the current W212 as much, I think the W211 is very classy and elegant car with a great presence. The 2014 re-design is elegant with an element of raw aggression. The current W212 almost tried to bridge that gap but it really didn't succeed. Not that it's a bad looking car but not my favorite.
As for the grille, never been a fan of the star-grills for the W211, especially the pre-facelift as it's meant to be a rounder and more fluid front-end. Ruins the look of the car in my opinion but that's just my preference.
I don't like the current W212 as much, I think the W211 is very classy and elegant car with a great presence. The 2014 re-design is elegant with an element of raw aggression. The current W212 almost tried to bridge that gap but it really didn't succeed. Not that it's a bad looking car but not my favorite.

I would love that grill on my '07 E63. Even with 2, 3 or 4 fins with the star in the middle would look great but the single fin like the '14 sure looks great. Please pass along any info if you ever happen to find some place that will make it for a 211

Me too. The large emblem in the grill is a great look. That is the Benz trend. I've seen some different star grills that look better than others. I'm in search of the best grill for my 07 e63. I want the star in the grill and off the hood. But, want it to look classy and as OEM as possible.
Thoughts? Anyone with more experience want to chime in?

^+1, Sault if you really wanna improve the look of your E63, get some carbon aero bits like lower lip and maybe some TTM intake scoops behind the grille, and/or black it out. If your issue is with the hood ornament, just get a flat badge.

I dont' wanna touch the blacked out look. As cool as it looks it's definitely an E55 look. You guys own that raw look and it looks damn good too..I just ended up going with a carbon fiber grill, Eurocharged limited editions (whatever that means lol) diffuser and front spoiler lip. Had a lowering module installed and about to get the Eurocharged stage 3 power package. You know that package guys put on their AMG because 517 HP isn't enough for a 4-door family sedan we need 600+. lol . Oh and I did get a badge..Thanks for the imput
