I look in EPC but it does not show part# for it.

Any thoughts?
I look in EPC and it show damper for you VIN but under my VIN EPC does not show a damper, same for E 55 AMG. I am not sure if they install it on some models and did not on others.

I was told today at the dealership that the damper is a part of the propeller shaft.

Isstay thank you very much for the help.
Knowing this I think I'll take the cheap-safe route and just remove it when I replace the flex. Worst case I'll have to buy a new drive shaft if vibrations come up.
Thanks again! I'll post back with the results in a couple of days.

You may have issues w/length of the shaft, I mean not reaching to the flex disk.

Hello, I know its been a long time since this post, but I'm new to the forum and have the same problem. Did you have any success removing the vibration damper? There is not much info on this issue out there for the W211, E350. Mine is a 2007 model. I'm having a very slight vibration at about 35mph, 53mph, and at higher cruising speeds. Thanks for any feedback.

Removed dampener (by cutting it off), later found out it's fitted primarily to the diesel models (maybe the V8 angle V6 M272 made them fit it to the 350?).
No adverse effect from removal, my issue was fixed but other work was done at the same time. Mostly removed the dampener because there are reports of the ring separating and hitting the SRS module triggering the airbags.

Fixed

Hey it's me again; so happy me. I cut the damn thing off (the propeller shaft damper) and seems to have solved the vibration issue. Still has super minute vibration. I think if I clean the rest of the rubber off it will be better. But so happy not having to replace the entire propeller shaft just for one part. The shaft looks practically new, so no need bothering it. Everything else on it is nice and tight. See pic. Thank you again

Vibration gone

I removed the rest of the rubber as best I could with a flexible razor knife and it the vibration is gone.
So, the part in the picture IS a part of the propeller shaft and cannot be purchased singularly. I have no adverse effects after cutting it off. Great thread. Thank you so much.
