Thanks! I liked those wheels a lot when I had them, but I wanted something wider. I may consider picking up another set in the future. The wheels looked even better in person because you could see the blueish flakes in the gunmetal powdercoating under direct sunlight. I'm still not too fond of the car's color, but it's definitely grown on me a bit.

Between my friends and I, we have gone through many sets of HID in the past few years. Morimoto was the only kit that stuck out to me. I swear their 35w shines like most 55w kits on the market. They also offer the 50w ones which I'm assuming are even brighter. (I haven't tested their 50w yet)
Retrofitsource guys talked me out of the 55W. Less reliability over 35W format. Philips bulbs will outlast the other stuff.
For those that want to spend as little as possible, Morimoto and Philips are not the best option.

I need help with the Morimoto 3Five (35w) H7 low beam kit on a 2006 E350 with halogen lights.
First, the kit that I received was missing a connector. TRS sent me the new part. (Good customer support)
Second, when I tried to install the kit using the Can-Bus harness, the light flicker for the first second and stayed off. 50% time the light would stay on, very inconsistent.
The reason I bought the Morimoto kit with Can-Bus harness, because I believe I don't need to program HID present on the car. Am I wrong?
Could it be the polarity from the original car H7 bulb connector? I think yellow is "+" and brown is "-". So, I connected the red wire on the Morimoto kit to yellow and black wire to brown.
I am planning to return the kit.

I did the battery test. I could have a bad ballast. Having bad luck with TRS. I connected the ballast with bulb, no can-bus harness, directly to the battery. One ballast is inconsistent, on/off. The other one turns on every time.

One of my lights on my DDM kit is no longer working on the passengers side, doesn't even try to spark. I'm fairly certain it's the ballast so I will have to RMA that part. A little disappointed but at least it's been worth it.

TRS service is great. They are sending me a new ballast. Instead of a plug-and-play kit, I think I have a plug-and-replace kit. ;-) Hope everything will work this time.

I have 35w HID DDM fog light with 6k color and i really like it.
Just wonder if i go with 55w on low beam, would 6k be the same color as my fog light.
Thanks,

Hopefully you found my list on the other thread looks like you did. I have 55w low beams 6000k, 35 watt fogs 5000k, 5000k city lights and 5000k Phillips Diamondvision high beams (non-HID). They match fairly well but 6000k for both would probably be good.

For me, 6000k is not that blue and I’m glade that I went with this color. Never drive in snow so I won’t know what it would be like. Thinking about order the spare/second set since 55W DDM coming from china and took 3 weeks for delivery.

Finally drove in snow for an extended period of time with HIDs and they were amazing, and yeah I would definitely get another ballast and set of bulbs as backup because mine took 2 weeks to ship originally from China (I kind of hate the fact they're now basically cheap eBay ballasts) and one went out within a matter of weeks. They won't just send you another one, you have to RMA it going through a 50 page process. DDM Tuning won't even take your word for it they test every ballast you send back so you might be out for over a month... easier just to order new ones since their customer service sucks, frankly

Over a month? I really need to get a spare/second set since their price is not that expensive compare to other.

That's what I'm guessing! Because you would have to send it to them, they would have to test the ballast (I assume this would take a week or two) plus another two or three weeks added for shipping of the new ballast if they determine the ballast needs replacement... kind of ridiculous but whatever. Learned my lesson lol

I just ordered second set without error eliminator for my spare. Hopefully i don't have to use them.
