Clockface lighting
Hay everyone.
I has got a w211 (2007, e200), but it has two irritating problems.
1. The biggest (for me) problem is: the main clock, the speedometer, and the tachometer back ligths doesn't work. The part of the digital (middle of the speedometer) and the indicatiors are has ligths, the funcion icons are working correctly. In the central computer is not possible to adjust the brightness (Classic equipped).
2. If the the engine complety warmed up then the air inlet fan do rumbleing/clicking noise if accelerating the car. If i turn off all of fan(s?) that be sience.
The really question is somebodey see that problems yet? If yes, how can it fix it?

It's hard to believe that all the LEDs in your instrument cluster have failed. I don't want to insult your knowledge of your car, but have you indeed tried using the lighting adjustment stem for the instrument panel? Have you checked the fuses?

I was trying to set the lighting adjustment (turn left-rigth the reset button, and all of dashboards light adjustment is changed except the cluster backligth, still blind), and finding the main settings/ligthing options, but the there is not an option "cluster lighting adjustment". On Thursday the the electronics technician are take apart, and will see whats wrong with it.
An other ligthing problem: the trunk ligth (both
) are blind too. I really hope thats just a simply bulb change.

I dont have any problem on lamps. But exactly same problem on me too as your fan noice. When is get warm begin to make sound. When i get off fan. then noice is gone. I dont know why. I couldt solve yet. Somebody said me that you have to do spreey oil on bearing of fan. But even i dont know where is fan. ıf you will solve, share wtih us too..

Hay everyone!
With a lot of problems, but I solve the problem of the cluster lighting. The first was, i go to the local dealer, and they're pull out the cluster, instrument to check, the cluster is total fail, and now (pull out the car main control) can restart the cluster. I was verry happy. Then i go the car dealer where i was buy the car about 3 week, and I discussed with him that I'm getting a new part with of warranty (about $1500 usd the new cluster). Now work correctly the all dashboard.
The ari conditioner main fan are windshield washer fluid filler over. Just 2 screw need to pull out, and there are. I give it a lot of oil and will see what happening, but it isn't an expensive part of the car, so a fiew montsh and will replace with a new one.
