CD changer always hunting at startup

2005 E320 CDI
CD changer always hunting at startup
Whenever I open the door to the car, the CD player goes through a cycle that is annoying. Is that normal? Is there any way to stop this.

The changer is empty of CD's.

I think that this is normal, sort of system start up just like the SBC. Mine does it too.
