v710s phone - locked to Verizon?
I have the above original MB phone; it was warranty-replaced last year with a new phone. I do not want to change to another model.
Does anyone know if this phone this phone is locked to Verizon only? Can I now transfer to another carrier?

If it was a verizon phone before it will only work on the Verizon network. Verizon uses a different method of cell telephony than the other carriers. Its not that its "locked" to Verizon, its that it was designed to work on Verizons type of network.
All the other cell networks use compatible networks to each other so they LOCK their phones to their particular network.

Precisely the reason I want to keep it plus I understand it has superior antenna capabilities since the phone in the cradle switches from internal to the external car mount antenna.
