7-Speed performance numbers
In checking a German MB site, I found the performance data on the E500 with the new 7-speed.
0-100 KM 6.0 Sec VS 6.1 Sec for 5-Speed
Highway fuel economy 8.4 Liters/100 KM VS 9.4 Liters with 5-Speed
This gives about .1 Sec improvement in 0-60 MPH and about a 10% improvemant in highway mileage. For some unknown reason the city and combined mumbers are shown as the same as with the 5-Speed

weird
We have sources claiming that you can do 0-60 in the current car in 5.8 seconds. In fact, I can sort of 'feel' that fact myself. I believe I truly push my car to the limit.
Mine is probably the second unsafest E500 in the U.S. after bmms8's
So...with the 7spd tranny--it should be even faster?!
