non-prepaid navigation woes
My dealer is being very difficult about this. They have offered the $3250 but will not say what they will sell the replacement for or what they will pay for my car. The sales manager says they will offer me "market value" for my car. I have called MBUSA and written several letters, and have had no response at all. I have asked to speak to my regional sales rep. without success as well.
Has anyone in the non-prepaid situation had similar problems? I am really mad and considering going the next step and sending it to my attorney.
Those of us in this situation should stay in touch. We may have more power as a group than as individuals.
I filed a complaint with the San Diego office of the CA Attorney General's office (SDAG). They felt there was enough merit in my case to send a letter to both the dealer and MBUSA requesting information on how they reached their decision. The SDAG's office got a letter from MBUSA this week asking for more time to respond. MBUSA has hired a law firm in LA to advise them on how to respond.
My sources tell me that this is a positive development for my case. They also tell me that it would help if more people complained to the AG's office.
If you are in this situation, you might want to contact your local AG office, file a complaint, and reference what is going on in San Diego with my complaint.
