I'm kinda confused about the J pipe tho, where did you put it at? The pic seems like it's by a muffler in the front of the car

No this is all axle-back, there are no mufflers at the front of the car only the primary catalytic converter. The J-Pipes are where the mufflers used to be.

Absolutely man, and I guarantee you there are good shops it's a pretty straight forward cut out muffler, straight pipe to tips, cut hole in straight pipe, weld on 28-30 inch J-Pipe.

any ideas on 2003 W211 E500 exhaust options?

Has anyone had experience with these mufflers?

Seem like they have the features of the "J pipe" home grown solutions but at a very reasonable price.
