European road trip
Just returned from a 2400 mile trip to the South of France, from England.
The car performed faultlessly in 40 + degree heat.
Took the following photograph on the second day of the trip, showing impressive average speed and mpg for over 9 hours driving.
Average speed included ferry across channel, fuel stops and travel across busy UK roads as well as wonderful French autoroutes. Very long stretches at 115 mph make driving a dream.
Fitted DVD screens behind each headrest for the childrens to watch films - the instal was easy for a mobile unit as the front seats lend themselves to having cables tucked in the rear seat squabs - easiest install the audio shop had done.

Below are pictures of the DVD screens for those that were interested. The screens mount onto the chrome headrest bars using standartd brackets for the purpose. The angle can be adjusted accordingly.
The cables run from the DVD unit under the seat and tuck neatly inside the panel at the back of the front sdeat. The cable can of course be seen where it enters the screen. 5 mimutes to remove whole set-up. Headphones are infra-red. DVD player is remote control.
My car is an e270Cdi. At 110mph its revving at about 3200 rpm.
The "kph" features on the dash in digital form so that you can convert mph/kph when driving abroad - which is exactly what I needed - you have to remember that you are working to KPH speed limits when in France - not mph. The digital read-out converts mph to kph as you set off.
And of course the gallons are UK gallons.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
The TVs certainly attracted alot of attention driving through the old port at St Tropez. Who needs a $3 million boat!
Being only 6 and 8, my boys were more interested in watching Fast & the Furious than taking in the scenery!
