Airmatic..is there really a difference?

Airmatic is wonderful...
The airmatic allows you to choose from three different settings: normal, sport 1, and sport 2. Each advancement stiffens up the suspension reducing body roll, pitch, and dive... but also allowing more road feel and a rougher ride.
Another nice touch is that you can actually raise the nose of the car approximately 1.5-2 inches independent of the 3 settings to help you clear steep grades and driveways.
I think the Airmatic is terrific, but it may not be worth it if you're not planning on doing any really sporty driving.
It ain't cheap!

I loved this option on my pre-nav car. As others here have noted, there seems to have been some "tweaking" by MB in this area. On my nav car, the differences between the settings is almost non-existant. Plus, i'm using a much more aggressive wheel/tire setup on this car, and still the differences are slight. You would think the opposite would be true. I should be getting slammed on sport II, but it almost feels somewhere between normal and sport I on the pre-nav car.
