What has been your experience with the CPO warranty?
I'm contemplating buying a CPO'd car (I'll probably add the 7/135 warranty) but I'm having a bit of difficulty seeing what, exactly, is covered. One dealer says it is identical to the basic warranty while another says "most everything."
What has been your experience going from the base warranty (the 4/50) to the CPO? Was it seamless without you knowing the difference when you brought your car in for an issue?

I had a dealer CPO warranty bought in 2004. It paid about $18,000 in 65,000 miles of driving. I would NEVER own a MB without a full warranty and live close to a repair shop.

So far I have had a couple of door handles replaced. Keyless entry problems. No charge to me. I had the main battery replaced and I was told that if I was still under the original warranty, it would have been no cost. I was expecting to have to pay for it in the first place since it's normally a wear & tear type item. If the CPO warranty isn't exactly the same as the original warranty, it's pretty darn close.

Along these lines, what's a good price for extending the CPO coverage to years 2 or years 2 and 3? I'm strongly considering a W211 E550 and have been offered year two for $1595 and $2295 for two and three. Seems like a pretty good price.
