Limiter/ Governor Question

w211 e500 sport package, but limiter kicks in at 135mph. Now I don't want to sound like a speed daemon, or some kind of reckless careless driver. But how do I remove this with an easy procedure? I heard about tuning the ECU or whatnot but I was aiming more at keeping stock power output and everything, but just removing that limiter so I can click into 5th gear instead of screaming in 4th gear at 135mph and 4500rpm. I own the car for 4 years now and this has been bugging me since day one, I thought the fact that its an E500 sport would mean the limiter is removed.

Call 911 and ask them. They'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

And yes, unless you are planning on driving on a closed circuit (you don't seem to have that in mind) then you are a reckless and careless driver

Star with dev will get you into the 155 limiter. Thats about all my cars can do, probably the 500 will still have some room but you will need a ECU tune to remove it beyond that.

Best bet is an indie shop but you can always buy a star for yourself (I recommend you talk to shardul).

If you want to rent one I could ship it but that would not make a lot of sense because of the weight/volume.

Check your facts... Limiter removal is NOT illegal in any way shape or form.
