Steering effort

Does anyone know if the steering effort can be made higher through some sort of adjustment on the W211?

I would like it to be like my old W210 AMG.

The W211 has extremely light steering. I remember that vividly.

I doubt you can change that without major modifications. It's just how the car was inherently designed to operate.

Disconnect the alternator and you'll see that the assisted steering will be the first thing to go. Wouldn't advise driving cross country like that though.

The steering effort required was higher on the 02-06 211's than on the 06-09 211's... but the on center feel and the return to center coming out of a turn is better in the later cars.

The steering could be a little tighter IMO. It's no where near my BMW 3 series, but it should be as tight as my VW Passat's where.

My Father's Lexus 2007 LS350 is so over boosted it reminds me of a Cadillac from way back in the day of the 70's & 80's.
